  if jeseus is only the mediater for the 144,000, and wts now says the 'system' may outlast the remenent, then the earth would be without a mediater between man and god?

  "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Pet 2:9

  A "royal priesthood" refers to priests that are kings as well. Surely, these king-priests are trained to be such, and are given power over many, even able to forgive sins. I don't recall getting such a call, nor would I be interested in such. Life here on earth makes much more sense to me. Just without the pain, sorrow, sickness, and death. I think of Psalm 37:11, 29.

  "Decent" itself is an interesting, value-loaded word. So, too, are words like "average", comfortable", "normal", and "guilty". A look at one dictionary shows the following range in meanings for each, in alphabetical order we find: "Average": generally prevailing; ordinary; medial [in the middle] estimate. "Comfortable": such as to obviate [clear away, neutralize] hardship, save trouble, & promote content, ministering to comfort; at ease, free from hardship, pain, & trouble; tranquil [calm, not agitated], with easy conscience. "Decent": seemly, not immodest or obscene or indelicate; respectable; passable, good enough, tolerable; kind, not severe or censorious [fault-finding, over-critical]. "Guilty": criminal, culpable [blameworthy]; having committed a particular offence. "Normal": conforming to standard, regular, usual, typical. Choice is about whose standards and values you take; one person's ideals may be the next one's discards.

  ***i believe i have the correct scripture here but if i don't please correct me.

  i have thought a great deal on this topic since i first read it in one of ray franz books isocf.. he had a section that dealt with the greek term translated "house to house" and compared it to other scriptures which contained the same greek phrase and showed that it was likely that it should be translated "in private homes".. now i know that some will make the point that "house to house" is a valid translation and from what i know (which is very little) cannot disagree.. what i can say though is that from my knowledge about life in this period and this area of the world and from my traveling to ruins of ancient citys i would have to agree with franz that the phrase "in private homes" makes more sense because preaching from "house to house/door to door" at that time period would have been extreemely ineffective.

  preaching in a public square and then returning with interested ones to their "private homes" for further discussion would make more sense if one was to be effective.. from those with a knowledge of the time/place/culture that this scripture applies to, do you agree with me?

  The "public" in the phrase "public preaching", as JWs use it, means non-JWs. In that updated context, preaching in the Kingdom Hall is on JW turf, versus the preaching done on non-JW turf (public preaching).

  House-to-house witnessing is one form of public preaching. Others include "business-to-business witnessing", "telephone witnessing", and "informal witnessing".

  Even today, preaching for JWs is predominantly in their Kingdom Hall, given that 5 hours of instruction may be received at the Kingdom Hall, which is more than the average of what JWs spend in the public ministry.

  Your religion is your value system in action. You'll modify it as you see fit. The controls are within you, thankfully, not in anyone else. Therapy comes in several forms. Even this JWD exchange is a form of talk therapy. Keeping an open mind allows the journey to continue. I don't know that anyone was born conflicted, unless their parents' conversations and life-styles directly had such an impact. I suppose it could happen. That would be a way of being forced, for sure. Sometimes we feel that we have only bad choices in front of us; that's forced, in my mind. Abused humans must learn that we can find good choices. It seems to happen only after we've experienced when others treat us well, with respect and dignity and the clear freedom to choose. If you have had better in years back, you may need to find others who were around then, who were part of the good. If any of them has died in the intervening years, you may still be grieving and may need to share in other activities that relieve you of that grief without being a burden on those around you.

  We all need peace (within ourselves, with family, with the connections beyond that...) for success.

  Friends have seen us at peace; they how how to help us feel our peace.

  When we're at peace, we can bring out the best in ourselves and in others.

  If you don't define yourself in terms of your sexuality, others may be less inclined to define you in terms of your sexuality.

  You are, in large measure, how you define yourself. If you don't want your sexuality being discussed, join a group that isn't concerned with it.
